When an adult turns into a parent, there number one priority is to care for their child in anyway necessary and raise them how they feel is right, hopefully as respectful and caring human beings. So why parents seem to be getting so upset about the Armys free video game "Americas Army", which is intended to turn children 13-21 to want to sign up for the army, I feel is rediculous. You as a parent have the authority so if you are upset at the Army for this video game, dont be, be mad at yourself for allowing your kids to play this game and take some responsibility.
I personally have no problem with the Army publicizing itself through this video game. If kids want to play the video game and in turn they want to join the Army, then the game has done what it was intended to do and more power to the Army. Being someone that never played video games at my own house growing up, I dont think I would be influenced by a video game to do anything, other than sports games. I feel that parents are looking at the easy way out and blame the Army for their kids playing these games when they should just not allow it and thus eliminate the whole problem. Parents are getting lazy and allowing there kids to stay inside and play video games which is probably the leading cause to having our country be a very obese country. Take some repsonsibilities parents, or dont have kids.

I totally agree with what you are saying. The Army always needs more people to join and for them to put out a free video game is entirely their choice. If it inspires the kids to want to join the Army someday, then it is a good thing. The people in the Army are so brave to risk their lives for us every day. If the parents don't like it, then take some control. Don't complain about the video game, do your job and monitor your kids.
